Lessons Learned from the Twilight Zone

The series took on some deep subjects such as freedom of religion, prejudice, loneliness, and the role of robots in the future.

"Happiness is a warm gun".
when i was 4,1950,a friend came to the house and said the guy down the street has a tv.lots of guys watching a boxing match.they said let the kid sit up front as he will always remember this.the set had a screen about the size of a postcard or so.
The message I got from the 1st one was: Don't be nice to children. 😂
🤔 Excatly, because they might turn into entitled Karen's. Or worse, government politicians ! ⚠.
Good post. I got into old time radio a few years ago and heard an earlier version of the “hitchhiker” same story I believe with Orson Wells as the main character.
Another Great Video, Plz keep them coming.
"Cops deal with violence everyday. Those who can't handle it crack. Those who can- teach." 🫡
_"Bringing good things to life."_ is now an abandoned GE motto, but it's one that stuck with me. Between their 📺 & their miniguns & 💡they've got a lot of history. So thanks for sharing this, I hadn't seen it before.
How have I never heard of this?
I would take a Robot woman 😂😂😂
You would trust a 🤖 robot woman ?. No thanks......
@@alancrisp1582 You can't trust many human women, either!
You gripe about socialism, then quote FDR. You're insane and inept.
Yea, ever knowtice this is a prophecy of this current administration?
“Back There.” Showed us you can’t always change history. The two episodes “Once upon a time” and “Execution” show that people who time travel aren’t always going to like the new world they go to and long to be within their own time. Like “Monsters are due on Maple street” there is a parallel about prejudice and mob rule again in the episode “The Shelter.”
The actor, Fritz Weaver, who plays the chancellor of the state was also one of the men who was helping his family escape from nuclear war with an experimental rocket in “Third From The Sun.”
Another winner! Thanks for the memories. I do appreciate your commentary on each episode. The Twilight Zone made us think about deep issues. It's nice to see the show still has the power to do that. I'm so glad I found you and can watch your content. It's always fun, entertaining and interesting. Thanks for the work you put into each episode.
Thank you very much!
At 8:59, did Robin hit Batman???
I loved it I have the series on DVD 😂🥰 Thank you and keep it up I'll keep watching 😇
I got mine too early. They are on VHS.😢
around 4:00 This anti-government take against leftist ideology, a recognizable comparison, still fails to recognize the better analogy lies with the right-wing evangelical effort to take control over and wield a punitive government against their enemies by literally being anti-democratic, and anti-constitution. 8:25. when it comes to living in the past, forcing the entire nation to turn the clock back to a fiction of past excellence, is not a winning recipe! 9:27 mob mentality reminds me of the charlottesville, and the Jan 6th mobs. if only more people were media literate. "loss of communication to the outside world," seems less scary than the fearmongering some politicians do!
😅
He's like the earliest version of Smart Hulk.
The final episode of The Twilight Zone aired June 19, 1964, so every episode is now over 60 years old. It is amazing how well some of episodes still hold up. The Brain Center at Whipple's shows the danger of computerized automation and AI that we are dealing with more now than when the episode originally aired in 1964. Number 12 Looks Just Like You reminds me of a lot of the trends that you see in today's world like Ozempic bodies, Botox foreheads, and lip fillers done to achieve a certain look that society considers attractive.
Rod Serling was a genius. There's no doubt about it. I guess, you could say most of the show is really about human nature through a sci-fi lens.

Great video!
Thanks!
Binghamton, not Birmingham
My bad. I read it wrong I guess.

Thank you. It is a really good thing you said that. It really is. I'm glad you have nothing about good thoughts. 😀
i've seen every episode that was showcased in your video. You did excellent job thanks. I think the beauty of the twilight zone was the moral of each story.
I agree. I love the Twilight Zone because it always makes you think too.
People out learn the lessons this is as classic as it gets man
Oh wow this goes way back love old television sets this is a great what a treat
Glad you enjoyed it.

I hope you all enjoy my latest trip into the Twilight Zone.
_Do-do-do-do_ **womp womp** TYVM!
3:37 ...and we return to the 3-inch screen! Almost a century of progress!
In the comics panel at 1:56 check the spelling of "MARTHE"
At the shooting range. "Is that a silencer, Hammer?" "No, this is my own device. I call it a loudner..." BLAM!

Looking at Reagan makes me want to vomit. Please show a video with a different spokesman.
Another weird inconsistency is that early on, Ziggy (the computer) is referred to with male pronouns, but when Sam leaps to his own time, the computer has a female voice and is henceforth referred to with female pronouns. Yeah, a computer can be reprogrammed, but why would anyone do this?
Regarding Kirk's shirt, that set of scenes was filmed at Vasquez Rocks where many strange things happen. It is one of the most widely used locations in So Cal for many movies and TV series.
At one time I thought he was Shooter McGavin.
You always know when a character is going to Die. It's the new guy we've never seen before.
😂 he put a loudener on his pistol
